Alabang Country Club, Inc. (ACCI) was established in 1981 with a commitment to providing topnotch sports and recreational facilities to members and their families. The Club features an 18-hole, par-72 golf course designed by renowned American golf course architect Robert Trent Jones, Jr. Its diverse amenities and services have also been catering the growing membership of over 2,000 members throughout the years.

Legendary Events

Throughout the years, the Club has been home to numerous events, ranging from legendary sports tournaments to memorable social gatherings and community activities.

MANGO TEE

Among the most popular tournaments of the Club is the Mango Tee Tournament, an invitational event that fosters exciting competition as well as camaraderie among members and guest players.

Since its launch in 1984, the Mango Tee has grown bigger every year, and exclusive invitations are sought after. It has attracted popular players to participate, enticed big-name sponsors to contribute raffle prizes, and even had the honor of having Philippine Presidents as guests in the ceremonies.

The beautiful grounds of the Club provide a fitting backdrop to the prestigious member-guest tournament. Adding to the grandeur each year are the impressive attendance, entertainment, as well as the array of sponsored prizes.

manila polo club & acci dual meet

Building friendly ties and promoting fitness in partnership with another prestigious club, ACCI participated in a multi-sport competition with Manila Polo Club. Members of both clubs contended for top scores in various athletic activities that took place in the facilities of the two clubs. They enjoyed competing in golf, bowling, billiards, squash, swimming, softball, basketball, powerlifting, tennis, aerobics, and cheerleading.

The Club has opened its facilities at times to support various inter-school or inter-club sports events. Its Olympic-size pool has served as the venue for important contests such as the NCR short course swimming championship, which gathered young swimming talents from all over the National Capital Region.

Tennis is another popular sport among the Club members, and it has drawn enthusiastic players in tournaments over the years. Besides the thrilling matches and prizes, its highlights include the awarding ceremonies and socials traditionally celebrated in one of the village residences.

director’s cup Independence day tournament

One truly legendary event in ACCI was the 1992 edition of the Director’s Cup Independence Day Flag Tournament, which was attended by then newly elected Philippine President Fidel V. Ramos. The day’s celebrations included dog shows and pony rides, kite-flying and radio-controlled flying exhibitions, and softball. Guests also enjoyed the friendly basketball game between ACCI members and village residents and the exciting 3-point shootout with PBA hotshot Ronnie Magsanoc. Events like this showed ACCI at its best as a champion of sports and fitness as well as an example of good citizenship.

As its name indicates, the Super Raffle is the biggest annual event of the Club, when
major corporate sponsors join hands with us in offering grand raffle prizes to raise funds for our corporate social responsibility efforts. The country’s leading brands in various industries and prominent personalities and entertainers take part in this program.

The red-letter day would be made even more special in the Club. The Ballroom was filled
with hearts and roses, a sumptuous dinner, as well as celebrities to serenade
our members and guests.

black saturday egg painting contest

Traditionally held on Sabado de Gloria, or the day before Easter, the egg-painting activity was a fun event for the children and an apt preparation for the Easter Egg Hunt. Kids showcased their creativity and artistic skills as they hand-painted the hard-boiled eggs that would be used the next day.

Easter Sunday was always a happy family occasion at the Club. Children enjoyed hunting for the painted Easter eggs that had been hidden in the Club grounds for them to discover—the top finds being the golden, silver, and biggest eggs. Prizes included a live bunny that the winner would take home as a new family pet.

all cash monthly bingo bonanza

Even before bingo became a fixture in shopping malls, ACCI has been holding monthly bingo bonanzas every last Friday in the Club. There was a bingo master drawing and announcing the numbers and the excited chatter of players interrupted once in a while with a triumphant “Bingo!”

The most wonderful time of the year would always be celebrated with gifts and merriment at the Club. Santa Claus posed with the children and delivered messages of joy to everyone, embracing the cherished tradition of spreading the spirit of Christmas.

ACCI supported activities that put the spotlight on Philippine arts and culture. Among the most memorable was the art exhibit inaugurated by former First Lady Amelita “Ming” Ramos and attended by local officials and celebrities. Members and guests admired the artworks of rising Filipino artists and showed their appreciation for homegrown creativity.

street children GO FISHING

Under the leadership of then General Manager Virgilio Jordana, ACCI invited children from Don Bosco to come to the Club and experience fishing in its lakes. It was a unique outreach initiative that made for an unforgettable encounter, and the bountiful catch the children enjoyed was an added delight.

mt. pinatubo medical mission

More than a Club, ACCI is family—and its family extends beyond Alabang. When disasters such as the Mt. Pinatubo eruption displaced many of our countrymen, ACCI was there to help out. Then President Fernando Ampil spearheaded a medical mission that counted on doctors and nurses to look into the health and nutrition of affected residents, particularly the children, elderly, IPs, and vulnerable sectors. It was just one of many instances wherein ACCI showed its generous heart and bayanihan spirit in action
